Devon Railway Centre Description / Reviews / Visitors Feedback
Comment My family went to the Devon Railway Centre today and it was excellent. Our 2 boys had a fantastic time riding on the trains, playing crazy golf and playing models trains. It was fantastic value for money and a superb day out - highly recommended.

Comment In a word, appalling. The train ride moves at less than crawling speed. It stops half way to give you a history of railway guages etc, which children are not interested in. The talk lasted longer than the 4 minute ride. The children need to be let loose on the gnome village as its quite possibly one of the worst things Ive seen. Its worse than a war crime. All games and rides are extra and not included with the price. The only good bit was the model train display but this could not be played with. All in all, utter rubbish. Save your money and run.

Comment Its true, nearly every attraction once you pay to go in is an extra cost. From what i can remember you pay for the ride on train that a child drives themself, the bumber cars, the remote small boats and trains, crazy golf. included in the price were 2 train rides which you wouldnt really want to ride more once but could, the model village and a small play area. The indoor model railways and play area on the train were very good and my boys spent a long time looking at these and playing, but certainly no where near enough to fill a day despite our best efforts. Its in a very small area and expensive for what it is, if the other bits were included in the price then I would have been a bit more impressed.
